The Lagos State Government has announced the resumption dates for public and private primary and secondary schools in the state for the second term of the 2019/2020 Academic Session.
The announcement was contained in a statement dated January 3, 2019 by the Office of Education Quality Assurance.
It was signed by the Head of Public Affairs of OEQA, Olaniran Emmanuel.
The statement said the Commissioner for Education, Lagos State, Folasade Adefisayo, welcomes students of both public and private schools back to school for the Second Term 2019/2020 Academic Session.
In the statement released from the office of the Director General, Office of Education Quality Assurance, Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, students of private schools and public senior secondary schools are to resume for second term on January 6, 2020, while all public primary schools resume on January 20, 2020.
According to the statement, all students and members of staff in both public and private schools in Lagos State are expected back in school on the above resumption dates, while students in boarding schools are expected to return on January 4 and 5, 2020.
The statement added: “Proprietors and School Administrators are to ensure strict compliance to the Lagos State Government academic calendar/resumption dates because academic activities commences same day.”
