Traditional rulers of Illofa and Odo-Owa in Oke-Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State, Oba Samuel Niyi Dada and Oba Joshua Adeyemi Adimula respectively, are to forfeit three months salaries to the state government.
This was part of the State Executive Council’s resolutions after considering White Paper on the report of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry into the communal clash between the two communities.
Briefing newsmen after council’s meeting, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Muhammed Haruna Tambiri, said the state government has also restricted the movement of both monarchs to their domains throughout the three months period.
