Canadian-born Nigerian Kelvin Amayo has signed for the reigning Nigeria Premier Basketball League Champions, Rivers Hoopers, for the 2024 Basketball Africa League.
Amayo led Stade Malien to a third place finish in their maiden season of the Basketball Africa League last year.
Prior to that, the guard helped the Malian team to become champions of the Sahara Conference where they defeated REG, Kwara Falcons and ABC Fighters.
Amayo averaged 7.4 points, 4.8 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 2.4 steals in eight games played for Stade Malien.
He previously played for Loyola Marymount Lions in NCAA, Georgia and Iran.

The 32-year-old becomes Hoopers’ second signing after the announcement of William Perry a week ago.
