Kaduna attack: Hundreds take shelter in primary school

Hundreds of refugees displaced by gunmen who attacked three villages in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State are now taking shelter at Kamfanin Doka Primary School.
The Chairman of the council, Alhaji Idris Alhassan, who visited the displaced persons, pledged to provide relief materials and security to the camp.
Alhassan said that several of the villagers, including women and children, were injured in the attack.
The chairman gave the names of the affected villages as Goron Dutse, Gwaska and Unguwar Nabango located on the border with Zamfara State.
Sources in the area indicated that three people died during the early morning attack while many others were still missing.
Also, the Director General, Media and Publicity, to Governor Mukhtar Yero of Kaduna State, Alhaji Ahmed Maiyaki, said investigation into the incident had commenced.
Maiyaki explained that the state government was also working with the governments of Zamfara, Katsina and Niger States to map out workable security measures to end the incessant attacks on communities in the area.
He enjoined the people to assist security agents with information that would aid in tracking down bad elements in their midst and ensure the safety of lives and properties.
