President Goodluck Jonathan has approved a full military burial for the late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu.
The leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, had initially said that his group would be in charge of the burial.
The approval by Jonathan has led the Central Burial Planning Committee for the Biafra warlord to issue a stem warning to any unauthorised individual and groups, including MASSOB, to stay away from all the programmes for the burial.
The committee said that the police has promised not to allow MASSOB as a group at any of the venues of the burial rite.
Odumegwu-Ojukwu’s body is expected to arrived in Abuja on Thursday.
It is to be conveyed by a chartered flight.
The final burial has been fixed for March 3.
