Isuofia People’s Union Federated in Lagos elects new exco

Isuofia People’s Union Federated, Lagos branch has elected new executives to pilot its affairs in the next three years.
In a very peaceful election held on Sunday, the Publisher of NewsProbe and Editor-in-Chief of The Union newspaper, Casmir Igbokwe, was unanimously elected the new Chairman of the body.
Igbokwe took over from the immediate past Chairman, Chief Amaechi Obidike.
Other officers elected at the event were the Vice Chairman, Eugene Osele; Secretary, Fred Okoye; Assistant Secretary, Chukwudi Obidike; Financial Secretary, Ugochukwu Okoye; Assistant Financial Secretary, Odili Okeke; and Treasurer, Okwudili Abasili.
Others were the Public Relations Officer, Ejike Okoye; Welfare officer, Calistus Maduka; and Assistant Welfare officer, Oliver Okonkwo.
The Provosts are Uchenna Agu, Uzochukwu Osele, Ifeanyi Muogbuo, Okechukwu Okafor, Anene Anakor and Uchenna Molokwu.
In his acceptance speech, Igbokwe said his tenure would be hinged essentially on peace and transparency.
He promised to complete the projects started by his predecessor and initiate new projects that would move the union and the town forward.
He thanked the immediate past executive members for their efforts and hard work and solicited the cooperation and support of all members for the greater glory of Isuofia.
