A professional Lionel Messi lookalike, Reza Parastesh, has proven to be very successful at cutting a spooky-good doppelganger of the Argentine.
Parastesh had to be taken to a police station at the weekend after he made an appearance in the city of Hamadan and caused total bedlam.
According to AFP, so many people wanted their photo taken with him, the police had to whisk him away to the station and impound his car to halt the chaos.
Parastesh, who grooms his hair and beard to look just like the Barcelona superstar, has found himself in the position of “being Messi” for a living, as he explained to AFP.
He said: “Now people really see me as the Iranian Messi and want me to mimic everything he does. When I show up somewhere, people are really shocked.
“I’m really happy that seeing me makes them happy and this happiness gives me a lot of energy.”
