Nigerian international, John Obi Mikel’s move to the San Siro next season is gradually gaining momentum as Inter Milan top officials are back in London to open further discussions in order to secure the services of the midfielder.
Inter President, Erick Thohir, who led the delegation to Chelsea has not hidden his desire to sign on the Nigerian and the Spanish striker, Fernando Torres.
Mikel’s market value is put around 15 million Euro and the London club would prefer to monetize the sale of a player, who still has many seasons to play at a high level.
Meanwhile, it is no secret that Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, would be willing to let go as he has declared both players surplus to requirement at the West London club.
Galatasaray have also expressed firm interest but Mikel wants to weigh up his options.
Having joined Chelsea from Norwegian club, Lyn Oslo, in 2006, Mikel has made more than 300 appearances, winning the Champions League, Europa League, Premier League and four FA Cups.
