Anglo-Nigerian youngster, Jordan Ibe, was offered a new five-year contract with Liverpool, the UK Sun hinted.
The Reds and Ibe had been locked in negotiations in the past weeks and according to The Sun, the 19-year old got an improved £35,000-a-week deal to stay at Anfield after breaking into the first team under Brendan Rodgers this season.
Ibe’s stay would bring some level of relief to Kop boss, Rodgers, who seemed to have rescinded to faith that England ace, Raheem Sterling, will leave Anfield this summer.
It was gathered that Ibe was originally in line for a £25,000-a-week contract but that had increased after discussions continued this week.
His fresh terms would keep him at the club until 2020.
After been snubbed by the England U-21 coach and his club contract now sorted, it was yet to be seen if Ibe would look the direction of Nigeria to star for any of the country’s national teams.
