I am still in Edo governorship race, says KOWA candidate

Thompson Osadolor, the KOWA governorship candidate for the September 28 election in Edo State, has said he did not step down from the contest.
Osadolor told newsmen on Tuesday in Asaba, Delta State, that he did not step down for the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
Osadolor said: “I am still very much in the race for the Edo governorship seat; there was no time I withdrew from the race.
“I have no plan to step down for anybody and I have not told anybody that I have done that and I will never step down.”
Osadolor said he only expressed the fact that his party’s manifesto was similar to that of the PDP.
The candidate said he remained committed to realizing his ambition and that he was confident of victory.
He said: “I am determined to see the end of it all because I know I will win the race. I have a bright chance of winning. I have campaigned across the nooks and crannies of the state; I have sold myself to the people.”
The Independent National Electoral Commission postponed the election from September 10 to September 28, citing security concerns.
