Gunmen have attacked a Correctional Service Farm Settlement in Umualomoke community, Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State, which led to the killing of an Inspector of Police, abduction of the Officer-in-Charge of the settlement and release of seven inmates.
The Imo State Police Command confirmed the development in a statement issued by its spokesman, Henry Okoye.
The Command said its Commissioner, CP Aboki Danjuma, has deployed its Special Tactical Squad to go all out in synergy with the military and other sister security agencies to hunt down those responsible for the attack.

Okoye also confirmed that the gunmen also attacked the residence of the lawmaker representing Imo North Senatorial District, Patrick Ndubeze, located within the area.
