Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi said there is the need to prioritise security of lives and property of the citizens.
Bello said this as he received the new Commissioner of Police for the State, Onuoha Bethrand.
Bethrand recently took over from Akeem Yusuf, who had been posted to Force Headquarters, Abuja.
The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s strong commitment to supporting the security agencies in the state.
This, he said, is part of his administration’s support to security operatives in their efforts to ensure a society free from crime.
