A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Plateau state, Alex Kwapnoe, has urged Nigerians to continue to give President Muhammadu Buhari the needed support so that he can work through his plans of giving the country a purposeful leadership.
Kwapnoe, who was the Plateau State Campaign Director for Buhari, stressed that the President has good programmes which must be diligently executed.
He thus advised that there was no need to hurry the President in other to avoid mistakes.
He pointed out that the country has been used to transiting from one civilian government to another within the same political party but “the transition from one party to another will require a little time for things to be sorted out, so that Nigerians can feel the desired change”.
The former Campaign Director also tasked the people on Plateau State to cooperate with the administration of Governor Simon Lalong “to clear the rot left behind by the former administration”.
Kwapnoe said: “We all need change for the better.
“We must join hands with the present administration at the federal and state levels to enable them deliver on the promises made to the people.
“The administration is just about one month old, everyone is eager, but we have to exercise a little patience so avoidable mistakes are not made.”
Kwapnoe also appealed to the people of the state to bury their differences, forgive one another and allow peace to reign so that development can take place in the state.
