A former representative of Kwara South Senatorial District, Senator Rafiu Ibrahim, is dead.
According to information available to The Eagle Online, the 8th National Assembly Senator died in a hospital in Abuja.
Ibrahim, a close ally of the former President of the Senate and former two-term Governor of Kwara State, died at the age of 57.
The former Member of the House of Representatives from 2011 to 2019 died on Wednesday morning.
A statement by Ibrahim’s family said: “We kindly request your prayers and support during this difficult time.

“His burial arrangements will be communicated in due course.
