The Minister of Finance, Wale Edun; the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Ola Olukoyede; and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Olayemi Cardoso, have met in a strategic alliance to stimulate the foreign exchange market.
The meeting, which was held in Abuja on Friday, was revealed by the EFCC, though it did not provide more details.
Nigeria’s FOREX market had become volatile in the last few months.

This has led to the crash of the Naira, which exchanged to the pound at about N2,000 and the dollar at about N1,600 on Friday.
It is believed that the meeting by Edun, Olukoyede and Cardoso sought to find a solution to factors affecting the naira.
