The Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, has felicitated with the former Editor-in-Chief /Managing Director of the Sun newspaper, Femi Adesina, on his appointment as Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.
Fayose also congratulated the spokesman of the Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation, Malam Garuba Shehu, on his appointment as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity.
He hailed the the two appointments as specially appropriate.
The governor in a statement in Ado Ekiti according to his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, described the choice these two gentlemen of the fourth estate of the realm as round pegs in the round hole, adding that it becomes more interesting and commendable going by the antecedents of both men as President of the Nigeria Guild of Editors at one time or the other.
Fayose described Adesina as a hardworking, diligent, brilliant journalist as well as a man of integrity who will perform well in the new administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He noted that Adesina’s quality as a man of intelligence has earned him promotion upon promotion since his sojourn in the journalism profession where he rose to the position of Editor-in-Chief in a well read and circulated newspaper in Nigeria where he started as Editor some years ago.
He maintained that his wealth of experience would be put to bear in this new administration in Nigeria.
