Nigeria’s Under-20 national team, the Falconets, on Sunday qualified for the second round of the qualifying series for the World Cup.
The Falconets defeated their Zimbabwean counterparts 3-0 today in Harare, Zimbabwe.
They thus qualified for the next round by a 6-0 aggregate.
They won the first leg played at the M.K.O. Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, Ogun State, by a 3-0 margin.
Reports from Harare had it that the Falconets dominated the game in all departments and throughout the encounter.
The team will meet the winner of the qualifier between Mali and Congo.
