An early morning explosion rocked a building on Lagos Island, Lagos State on Wednesday.
The explosion was said to be from fire crackers stored in the building.
Sources said the fire crackers caught fire.
The impact of the explosion was so strong it damaged a car parked nearby and some adjoining buildings.
The building is located on Docemo Street, Oko Awo, Jankara area of Lagos Island.
It is close to the popular King Ado Secondary School.
The explosion occurred around 9:30am.
The Eagle Online could not confirm number of casualties as at press time.
