The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has predicted dust haze, sunny and partly cloudy atmosphere over most part of the country on Thursday.
In the agency’s Weather Outlook on Wednesday, in Abuja, it projected dusty condition with horizontal visibility of two to five kilometres over the central cities throughout the period.
It added that the region would have day and night temperatures in the ranges of 28 degrees Celsius to 35 degrees Celsius and 13 degrees Celsius to 22 degrees Celsius.
The agency predicted that northern states would experience dust and hazy conditions with horizontal visibility of two to five kilometres and localised visibility equal to or less than 1,000 metres throughout the forecast period.
It also predicted that the entire northern region would have day and night temperatures in the ranges of 30 degrees Celsius to 36 degrees Celsius and 12 degrees Celsius to 18 degrees Celsius.
According to NiMet, southern states will experience partly cloudy to sunny conditions over the inland and coastal cities during morning hours with day and night temperatures of 31 degrees Celsius to 35 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius to 23 degrees Celsius.
NiMet predicted: “Hazy conditions are anticipated over the inland cities with chances of partly cloudy to cloudy conditions over the coastal cities during afternoon and evening hours.
“Dust haze conditions are expected to continue over the northern and central states while hazy and partly cloudy conditions are likely over the inland and coastal cities.”
