Nigerian starlet, Musa Yahaya, will start pre season with Tottenham.
The midfielder, dubbed ‘the new Iniesta’, was a member of the victorious Golden Eaglets team that won the Under-17 World Cup.
Yahaya has been out on loan at Celta Vigo but it has been confirmed that he will start pre-season training for 2014/2015 at Spurs.
The player’s agent, Babawo Mohammed, is quoted as saying: “Yahaya is a Spurs player. He will return to Spurs early enough for the pre-season because he is billed for the training tour.”
It looks like Spurs will have to wait a while to sign Yahaya officially, with the youngster only on a pre-contract with the north London side.
Babawo Mohammed added: “I must remind you that these kids are yet to sign professional contracts because they are still minors. However, by next year all of them will be up to age to sign professional contracts. Indeed, (Akinjide) Idowu and (Yakub) Alfa will be 18 this year while Mohammed Musa, Chidera Ebere and Yahaya will be next year.”
