Flying Eagles’ striker, Taiwo Awoniyi, has penned a pre-contract with Swedish outfit, Kalmar FF, The Eagle Online reliably gathered.
Our source hinted that the youngster, who has started training with the club in Sweden, will be eligible to sign a permanent deal when he turns 18 in August, next year.
The striker was said will be available for the Flying Eagles African Youth Championship qualifier against Lesotho next month.
Awoniyi, who was a member of the victorious Golden Eaglets team at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates last November, notched up four goals in seven matches at the competition.
The lanky starlet, a product of Imperial Soccer Academy, founded by former Nigeria international, Seyi Olofinjana, has also been grabbing the headlines with the Manu Garba-tutored Flying Eagles squad.
