The Deputy President of the Senate in the Second Republic, Senator John Wash Pam, is dead.
Pam, 73, reportedly died at the National Hospital, Abuja at about 1.30pm on Thursday.
He was said to have died from complications arising from prostate cancer.
His first son, Ganan Wash Pam, confirmed his death.
Pam is survived by two wives and 18 children.
