Economic recession; Senate agrees to invite Buhari

The Senate on Thursday concurred with the House of Representative’s resolution to invite President Muhammadu Buhari to address a joint Session of the National Assembly to intimate the lawmakers on plans to get the country out of the current economic recession.
According the lawmakers, the briefing of the President will enable them to take further legislative actions that would help to take the country of the economic recession.
When the House of Representative resolution was put to vote by the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, it was unanimously accepted by all the senators present in the chamber.
The House of Representatives had on Thursday passed a resolution inviting Buhari to address a Joint Session of the National Assembly on plans being put in a place by the Executive to take the country out of the current economic recession.
