Norwich City target Tyronne Ebuehi has played down rumours that suggested he has signed a pre-contract agreement with the Championship club.
The 21-year-old ADO Den Haag full-back is being monitored by several clubs, including Norwich, but he confirmed that the club has made no contact with him yet.
Dutch side ADO Den Haag are desperate to get the defender to sign a contract extension but he believes that the club have not made him a persuasive enough offer.
His current deal with the club expires in the summer, meaning he would be available to move for free at the end of the season.
He said: “I’m enjoying myself here. I still learn every day. If I can sign here, I would really like to do that. But I am also just honest. I do not think the offer I received is very good, I think some rumours are pretty funny.
“I would have signed a pre-contract. That is not true either.”
Norwich face competition from Portuguese giants Benfica for the signature of Nigerian international Ebuehi.
The full-back, who can operate on either flank, had representatives present at Carrow Road for Norwich’s 0-0 draw against Chelsea in the FA Cup third-round.
