The Ogun Command of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has felicitated all Christian faithful on the occasion of the Easter celebration and warned against reckless driving to reduce road crashes in the state.
The Sector Commander, FRSC, Ahmed Umar, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday in Ota, Ogun.
“I wish them compliments of the season and a hitch-free Easter celebration,” he said.
Umar enjoined all Christian faithful to drive with ultimate caution as they go about celebrating, and praying in their various places of worship.
The FRSC boss further implored them to avoid drunk driving, and plan their return journeys to their various destinations in order not to be in a hurry to get home, which sometimes resulted in crashes.
Umar advised all Christian faithful to respect all traffic rules and regulations, irrespective of whether some other road users were not observing them while on the roads.
The sector Commander appealed to the people to cooperate with FRSC personnel as the purpose of being on the highways was to prevent road crashes.
He reiterated the commitment of the Corps, especially during and after Easter to render prompt emergency and recovery services in case road crashes occurred.
