Home Eagles’ and Sharks of Port Harcourt left back, Adeyinka Adedeji, has denied media report that he will be out of action for six weeks, claiming he is close to full fitness for both club and country.
The former GIF Sundsvall of Sweden star that joined up with Sharks of Port Harcourt in Lagos on Monday in their build up for the new league season said the report is not a true reflection of his health condition.
Adedeji said: “It baffled me when I read that I would still be out for another six weeks due to injury. Yes, I copped an injury while I was at the Eagles camp but the journey to recovery is sooner than what the writer claimed.
“Privately, I have been visiting doctors and physiotherapist and they have assured that the recovery will be earlier than expected. So, there is no need to panic because I will soon be back.
“I have joined up with Sharks in Lagos for light training and we would also participate in a pre-season tournament before returning to Port Harcourt for the league proper.
“I respect the media and equally have them as friends. So, I want implore to verify their findings before going to press.”
The Netherlands 2005 World Youth Championship silver winning star pulled his harm string ahead of Super Eagles and Gokena FC in December last year.
