The President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, has revealed that the Super Eagles will in a few months time battle Africa’s best teams, Algeria and Tunisia, in friendly games.
The friendlies, according to Pinnick, are yet not finalised, but discussions have been opened with both countries.
He said: “Now that the Eagles would be playing against Cameroon and Congo, we have also opened talks with Algeria and Tunisia as we have resolved to get the Eagles and other national teams busy.
“The team’s build up is on course and we would make sure we produce a solid side that Nigerians would marvel at.”
Despite the team’s lacklustre outing against the Taifas Stars of Tanzania in Dar es Salaam, the NFF boss however threw his weight behind the Super Eagles Coach, Sunday Oliseh.
Pinnick said the gaffer has what it takes to lead the team to glory.
He said: “He is still the Guardiola of African football despite the result against Tanzania.
“I stand by him and will give all the support to succeed on the job.”
Earlier in the week, the NFF confirmed Eagles friendlies against Cameroon and Congo.
The ties are fixed to hold in Belgium next month.
