The Southwark Crown Court, United Kingdom, where a former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori, has resumed from its break.
Ibori is being tried for charges bothering on corruption and money laundering.
A correspondent of The Eagle Online just reported that the sitting has resumed.
The break was to enable lawyers involved in the long drawn case to prepare for the second stage of the sentencing, which holds today and tomorrow.
The break started at 2pm.
Ibori also used the opportunity of the break to meet with his family members and supporters, most of who flew into the United Kingdom for the sentencing.
Our correspondent also reported that most of the supporters of Ibori have fled the court after the face-off with the security agencies earlier in the day.
It was gathered that there are fewer than 10 of his supporters in the court now.
It was gathered that the supporters fled when they were told that officials of the Home Office, which is in charge of migrants, would be in the court.
With some of them, who have been in the United Kingdom illegally, fearing that they could be arrested, they fled.
The court is presided over by Judge Anthony Pitts.
