Dr Kayode Ajulo, a constitutional lawyer, has lauded the confirmation of Olawale Afolabi as the General-Secretary, Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers saying it will ignite vibrant unionism in Nigeria.
Ajulo said this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Abuja.
The lawyer said it was a decision well thought out judging from the requisite experience and credentials of the new General-Secretary.
According to him, his track records in the union indisputably positioned him as a competent hand, who will meritoriously handle the new task and advance the policy thrust of the union to a desirous level.
He commended the administrative drive of the NUPENG for the timely confirmation of Afolabi as the union’s General-Secretary.
Ajulo said that making such an individual to be the administrative head of a vibrant and dynamic union such as NUPENG showed that the union was set for fresh goals and achievements.
According to him, Afolabi has fared creditably in the areas of management, training, education, alternative dispute resolution and well stocked with the creation of existing development and launch of viable operations with robust and ingenious ideas.
The constitutional lawyer said with the emergence of Afolabi, a technocrat who known to be firm, thorough competent and passionate, “the sky will be the limit for the union”.
According to him, NUPENG has made an excellent choice based on expertise, experience and talent.
