Personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, of the armed squad unit, from the Lagos State command headquarters on Thursday morning were deployed to assist in decongesting the traffic gridlock at the Otedola Bridge, Magodo, inward Gate Junction, Lagos.
According to a statement signed by the public relations officer of the Lagos State command of NSCDC, ASCI Abolurin Oluwaseun, the traffic control and decongestion lasted between 07:00hrs and 10:00hrs.
The team leader, ASCI Bello Bashir, said that the team received maximum cooperation from the road users while decongesting the traffic.
“The Commandant NSCDC Lagos State Command, CC Ayeni, commended the team for a job well done and charged them to always collaborate with the police and other traffic-related security agencies when discharging such duties and functions.
“He believes that this will go a long way to improve the safety of lives and property in Lagos State,” he said.
