Nigeria Premier League leading goal scorer, Stephen Odey, will start from the bench as the home-based Eagles battle their Beninoise counterparts in the first leg of the Championship of African Nations qualifiers on Sunday (today) in Cotonou.
Super Eagles’ Head Coach, Salisu Yusuf, however favoured Odey’s club teammate, Sikiru Olatunbosun, alongside Kingsley Eduwo and Thomas Zenke to lead the attack.
The team’s skipper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, will man the sticks, while he get cover from Stephen Eze, Chima Akas and Okogbue.
Rangers International’s Osas Okoro will be joined in the midfield by Hafiz Aremu, Rabiu Ali and Ifeanyi Ifeanyi.
The substitutes are Goalkeeper Dele Ajiboye, Ariwachukwu, Alhassan Ibrahim, Stephen Odey, Ifeanyi George, Samuel Mathias and Nasiru Sani.
The hosts, Benin Republic, will file out as follows: Glodjinon, Nabil, Mama, Dine, Ibrahim, Seibou, Waris, Marcelin, Elegbede, Fassinou, Gomez.
The substitutes are; Dandjinou, Gaston, Osseni, Dah, Adjana, Saliou.
