Cattle breeders elect new executives

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria has elected new executives.
A statement on Sunday by the association said the new executives will pilot the affairs of the association for four years.
The election, the statement said, was conducted peacefully without any rancour.
Alhaji Muhammad Kirowa emerged as the National President with 97 votes.
Kirowa defeated the Alhaji Bello Wamakko from Sokoto State, who got 32 votes; Alhaji Yarima Dangirga from Kaduna State, who got five votes; Alhaji Mai Aliyu from Yobe Statem who scored nine votes; and Alhaji Saidu Maikano from Plateau State, who polled just one vote.
Alhaji Hussein Bosso from Niger State and Alhaji Jauro Gari from Bauchi State were elected 1st and 2nd vice president respectively.
The election for the position of National Secretary was keenly contested between Alhaji Sale Bayari from Plateau State and Alhaji Baba Usman Ngelzarma from Yobe State.
Usman emerged as winner after netting 92 votes against 61 by Bayari.
Earlier, Alhaji Shehu Buba Umar had withdrawn from the contest after some discussions and strategic realignment.
Alhaji Ismaila Ribeji from Katsina State was elected the Public Relations Officer, while Alhaji Abubakar Bello-Sarkin Shanun Gombe emerged as Treasurer.
Alhaji Adamu Isa Muhammad was elected as National Youth Leader.
Muhammed is from Rivers State.
The statement added that the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, urged the leaders to pilot the affairs of the association with the fear of God.
Abubakar said the election should serve as a role model and one worthy of emulation by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
