Okoh joined the Nigerian Army at just 16, an age when most of his peers are still tied to the apron strings of their parents, and fought in the ill-fated civil war in 1970. After the war, he moved from the infantry to the Chaplaincy of the Nigerian Army, where he served in various capacities, rising to the position of Lieutenant Colonel, on which he retired after 21 years of meritorious service to his Fatherland.

We are into shipping, banking, insurance. We are also in trading, which is my major traditional profession as an Igbere man, while all of our other businesses that were thriving during the tenure of former President Olusegun Obasanjo have been moved out of Nigeria. This happened when the licenses of Hallmark Bank and Slok Airline were cancelled. We had to move to the region to remove First International Bank, which had been there since 1997, first opened in Gambia and spread to other Aest African countries and the international insurance company, we have investment of all over some insurance companies in Nigeria, some banks and the rest of them, So the major ones that were in control were these two institutions. We are into shipping. We are the largest shipping company in sub Saharan Africa and we are also transporting and supporting oil drilling. It has been ups and downs. Agriculturally, we export cocoa, we export cashew nuts and all major cash crops. We are also into manufacturing with 9,000 workers on the payroll, which is a fairly large group.
So, I think we should expect double efforts as opposed to single effort now that the President is back. And I’m sure that you’re going to see very strong leadership
