Nigerian League champions, Enyimba, has been drawn against Vipers of Uganda in the preliminary round of the 2016 CAF Champions League.
The draw for the 2016 CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup was conducted in Dakar, Senegalon Friday.
Nigeria’s second qualifier, Warri Wolves, were also drawn against Praia Cruz of São Tomé and Príncipe.
Both teams would play the first leg at home between February 12 and 14, 2016, while the return leg holds two weeks later.
Angolan ES Setif, Coton Sport (Cameroon), AC Leopards (Congo), El Ahly (Egypt), Zamalek (Egypt), TP Mazembe ( DR Congo), El Merrikh and Hilal (Sudan) and Esperance (Tunisia) were all drawn bye.
In the CAF Confederation Cup, Awka United and Nasarawa United got tricky draws.
While the Federation Cup champions, Akwa United, will travel away to battle Congo’s V. Club Mokanda, their Nasarawa United counterparts will host Generation Foot of Senegal in Lafia.
All matches would hold on the same date as the CAF Champions League.
