Hundreds of members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria blocked the entrance of the National Assembly on Wednesday to demand the release of the group’s leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, and to protest the killing of Shiites by the Nigerian Army.
The Shiites not only blocked the entrance of the National Assembly on Wednesday, they also conducted their afternoon prayers there.
Security agents were however on red alert.
Many vehicles going out of the National Assembly were forced to take other routes.
