The representative of Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Dino Melaye, on Wednesday recounted his ordeal in the hands of the police.
Melaye, who has been away from the Senate since he was first taken off a plane that was to take him to Morocco last month for an official duty, said attempts were made on his life by policemen who arrested him.
He said there was a failed bid by the police to inject him while he was at the National Hospital in Abuja.
So also did he say those who arrested him attempted poisoning him.
Melaye, who was arrested by the police last month, jumped out of the moving vehicle in which he was being taken to Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, to stand trial.
