The Court of Appeal has ordered the Code of Conduct Tribunal to try the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki.
This followed a ruling on Monday where the Court of Appeal faulted the grounds on which the CCT dismissed the charges against Saraki.
Saraki was dragged before the Tribunal by the Code of Conduct Bureau, with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission providing the lead prosecution counsel, Rotimi Jacobs, and its operatives giving evidence.
However, the Tribunal dismissed the case, saying there was no ground for the trial in the first place.
But the EFCC appealed the ruling.
Ruling on Monday, the two-man panel of the Court of Appeal, headed by Justice Danladi Umar, ordered the CCT to proceed with the trial of Saraki,
The court, however, said instead of the 18 grounds on which the trial was premised, only three were tenable.
