Boy kills relative over sex in Delta

For refusing his sexual advances, a teenager in Ogbe-Nti Obi in Umudei quarters, Ogwashi-Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State has killed his relative.
The suspect, simply identified as Friday, struck the victim to death with a log of wood.
Trouble allegedly started when the younger sister of the victim refused to have sex with the suspect on account that they are biologically related.
But instead of the suspect, The Eagle Online gathered, to see reason with the girl, who out of fear reported the matter to her elder brother (the victim), who immediately waded into the matter, he picked offence.
An eyewitness told The Eagle Online: “It was the issue he (the elder brother) opened with the suspect, when he became furious, picked up a heavy stick and hit him in the chest with it.
“Seeing him rolling, gasping and panting on the ground, the suspect escaped into thin air.”
According to the witness, efforts to save the victim’s life failed.
The source added: “He was rushed to Ogwashi-Uku General Hospital by relatives and sympathizers.
“But they could not get help.
“They rushed him again to the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba.
“They were on strike.
“He gave up the ghost there.”
While the suspect is still at large and police in Ogwashi-Uku spread out dragnet, the victim’s body has been deposited at the mortuary.
