Usain Bolt is to contest the 100m when he makes his eighth appearance at the Golden Spike meeting in Ostrava on May 20.
The Jamaican sprint star is set to form part of a field including the likes of decathlon world record-holder Ashton Eaton, who will also compete in the long jump at the IAAF World Challenge meeting.
“I’m pleased to return to the Golden Spike meeting for the eighth time in my career,” said Bolt.
“It’s one of my favourite meets on the circuit. The organisation is always great and the fans create a fantastic atmosphere.
“It will be my first European meeting of 2016.”
Bolt won the 200m at the meeting in 2006, 2008 (with a meeting record of 19.83) and 2015, while he claimed 100m victory in 2009, 2011 and 2012. He also won the 300m in 2010, setting a meeting record of 30.97.
