Members of dreaded sect, Boko Haram, have bombed the home of the wife of the Governor of Yobe State, Alhaji Ibrahim Geidam.
Boko Haram bombed the residence of the First Lady, where her mum stays.
The attack was carried out on Friday.
The Commissioner, Yobe State Police Command, Patrick Egbuniwe, confirmed the incident.
Egbuniwe said the gunmen stormed the house on Gashua Road and ordered all the occupants out before setting it ablaze.
He said: “We got a report that the house of the mother-in-law of Governor Ibrahim Gaidam was burnt down by unknown gunmen suspected to be members of the Boko Haram sect.
“Everybody was asked to come out of the house before they finally set it on fire.
“No life was lost.” he said.
