The President of Vision Africa International, Bishop Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, has sent a message to the majority chief whip of the Nigerian Senate and ex-Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, over the demise of his wife and former First Lady of the state, Ifeoma Ada Kalu.

Kalu had on Monday in a statement on his official Facebook page announced the passage of his wife, aged 61.

According to the ex-Governor: “With a heavy heart and pain, we announce the passing on to eternal glory of Mrs Ifeoma Ada Kalu aged 61 years.

“She was a woman of virtue who was committed to the service of God and humanity.

“A memorial service in her honour is scheduled to hold in the United States of America (USA).

“Please remember her and  loved ones in prayers at this difficult period.

“May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.”

Mourning the deceased, Bishop Onuoha, who was also the flagbearer of the African Democratic Congress in the March 18, 2023 governorship election in Abia State, on Wednesday acknowledged late ifeoma Ada Kalu’s dogged contributions while she served as First Lady of the state.

The Methodist priest admonished Kalu, the representative of Abia North Senatorial District, and the entire family to take solace in God, bearing in mind God who gives life has the key to life and death.

He further prayed God to console the bereaved family and those she left behind.

Onuoha further prayed to God to give Kalu’s family the fortitude to bear the loss.
