Troops of the Nigerian Army deployed for counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations in the North West have successfully ambushed and neutralised two terrorists transiting with arms in Kaduna State.
The success, on Saturday, was confirmed by the Director of Army Public Relations, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu.
The operation, according to Nwachukwu, took place in Rafin Sariki village, Giwa Local Government Area.
He said it was a prompt response to actionable intelligence on the presence of terrorists transiting with a sack containing weapons.
He said the troops laid in ambush for the terrorists and engaged them in a gun battle, neutralising two of them.
