A former Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, has thanked those who have endorsed his “modest” contributions to the growth of the state.
Ambode, who served only one term, spoke via his Facebook page on Tuesday, urging the youths to get set for power.
The former governor, who lost the ticket of his party, All Progressives Congress, to the incumbent, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, wroteL “After all we have been through, God has been faithful.
“Thank you for the overwhelming endorsement of our modest contributions to the growth of Lagos.
“It can only get better for Lagos, and indeed Nigeria.
“The youths are coming.
“The power is in their hands.
“Go and get your Permanent Voters Card (PVC) ready.
“Your future is NOW!”
Ambode, 58, was Lagos State Governor from 2015 to 2019.
He has been largely quiet since he lost his reelection bid.
