Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Tuesday held a closed door meeting with former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, in Niger State.

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the 2019 election met with Babangida in his Hilltop Mansion in Minna.

The meeting lasted for almost an hour.

However, as at press time, there was no inkling about what was discussed there.

However, while in Niger State, Abubakar also paid a courtesy visit to the State Governor, Abubakar Sanni Bello.

He sympathised with Bello and the people of the state over the incessant insecurity situation confronting region.

In an interview with newsmen, Abubakar said he was in the Niger State Government House on a courtesy visit.

He added that his aspiration for 2023 will be made public when the time comes.
