Accusations against Russia over alleged Cyberattacks unfounded – Kremlin

Kremlin spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, said on Tuesday that Western intelligence services that accused Russian cyber actors of allegedly hacking government network infrastructure lack at least weak argument in their claims.
Peskov said that the ill-founded accusations have been completely devalued.
On Monday, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Federal Bureau of Investigation and UK National Cyber Security Centre released a joint report accusing “Russian state-sponsored cyber actors’’ of hacking network infrastructure of government departments and internet service providers in attempted espionage.
However, the report did not clarify how exactly Russia is involved in the alleged cyber-attacks.
Peskov said: “No one still bothers, neither our colleagues in the United States, nor our colleagues in the United Kingdom to look for any, even weak, arguments.
“Therefore, the essence and nature, the unreasonable nature of these accusations do not change in any way.
“From our point of view, these unfounded accusations have now been completely devalued.”
