Chelsea midfielder, John Obi Mikel, and Godfrey Oboabona have been dropped to the bench as the Super Eagles step out this afternoon in the second leg, second round of the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier against the Sihlangu of Swaziland in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Home lad, Paul Onobi, has been favoured ahead of Mikel for the central midfield role, just as Austin Oboroakpo would combine with Efe Ambrose in the heart of the defence.
Wolvehampton Wanderers’ Carl Ikeme will be in goal, while Chima Akas and Shehu Abdullahi provide cover from the wings.
In the midfield, Onobi will be joined by Ogenyi Onazi and Russia-based Syvester Igbonu, while the attack would be spearheaded by Watford striker, Odion Ighalo, Moses Simon and skipper Ahmed Musa.
Nigeria played out a scoreless draw against Swaziland at the weekend.
The match kicks off at 4pm.
