Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State has assured investors of mutually beneficial partnership for the growth and development of the state.
The outgoing governor gave this assurance on Thursday in Asaba while inaugurating an ICT Learning Centre built and donated to the state by
Zenith Bank Plc.
He said that the state government was interested in partnering with the private sector in order to grow and develop the state.
Uduaghan thanked the bank for its partnership with the state government in providing developmental projects, while assuring its
management that the donated ICT e-Learning Centre would be put to judicious use.
He said: “This project is more of a learning centre and falls into our strategic plan to develop our ICT capacity base.
“It will help in the development of our people, both young and old, men, women and youths and we need such centres to improve our youths
in the ICT world.”
In his remarks, Sunday Illegar, Zenith Bank’s General Manager and Group Zonal Head, said the bank embarked on the project as part of its
corporate social responsibility.
He said the centre was an e-learning centre where the people of the state and indeed Nigerians could learn and acquire requisite computer
literacy and carry out researches.
