Real Madrid are reportedly set to make a move for Chelsea midfielder, John Obi Mikel.
The Nigerian international has been linked with a Stamford Bridge exit this summer, apparently attracting the interest of Southampton as a possible replacement for Arsenal target, Morgan Schneiderlin.
Mikel has made just 12 Premier League appearances this season and Jose Mourinho is said to be plotting a big-money move for Juventus star, Paul Pogba.
The 28-year-old has just two years left on his current contract, and Italian media outlet, Tuttomercatoweb, claims that Real Madrid have emerged as surprise frontrunners for his signature.
Sami Khedira looks set to leave the Santiago Bernabeu and Carlo Ancelotti is believed to have targeted Mikel as the German’s replacement after working with the ex-Lyn youngster during his two-year reign in west London.
