Reports coming in from The Eagle Online correspondent indicate that the incumbent and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, has won the presidential election in the Delta State.
Jonathan scored 1,211,205 votes to defeat the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, General Muhammadu Buhari, who polled 48,910.
The result was announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission in Asaba, Delta State.
It is merely awaiting the affirmation of the national headquarters of INEC in Abuja.
Delta State is one of the outstanding five states, which results are yet to be formally announced by the Chairman of INEC, Prof. Attahiru Jega.
