Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God on Monday called on all Christian faithful to use the opportunity of Christmas to surrender totally to Jesus Christ.
Adeboye made the call at the RCCG 2019 Lets Go-A Fishing Crusade, with the theme ‘In His Fullness’, held at the Liberty Stadium in Ibadan.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the Lets Go-A Fishing is one of the annual events of the RCCG and that of Ibadan was the first to be held in 2019 to kick-start the programme in the city.
Adeboye took his Bible texts from Luke 13: 11-17 and Eccl.3: 1-8.
“Today somebody will leave with many miracles. Every yoke that hasn’t allowed you to prosper in any way will be destroyed in the name of Jesus.
“It doesn’t matter how long you have been sick but all sicknesses and diseases that look impossible can be taken care of by Jesus only if you believe and surrender.
“With Jesus, the one who used to be poor can become rich, the one called barren can become mother of twins and the one who used to be single, can marry,” he said.
According to him, Jesus Christ is also able to remove any reproach from the life of anyone, just as the case of the woman in the bible text.
“He said come unto me all that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. The invitation is there, it’s now left for you to accept Him and surrender.
“Jesus is ready to accept anyone who would cry to Him, He will rescue the fellow and once He does that, everything about the person will be perfected,” he said.
The General Overseer further remarked that he would still visit no fewer than 20 places across the country as part of the Lets-Go-A Fishing programme.
The Lets-Go-A Fishing is a programe where the RCCG preaches the gospel of Jesus to the people with the aim of bringing them to Christ.
